About NOAF

The New Orleans Abortion Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides financial and practical support to help people across the Gulf South access legal abortion care. We work in partnership with our callers, our communities, and our clinics

We exist not because some folks can’t afford their healthcare, but in response to excessive and systemic barriers to that care. Our mission is to fund abortions. Our vision is that someday we won’t have to. We dream of a world where everyone has the resources they need to decide how and when they create family, without coercion or violence, and where every one of those families’ emotional, physical, and relational needs are met.

What kind of support does NOAF provide?

NOAF provides direct funding in the form of pledges sent to clinics in states where abortion is legal as well as practical support and connection to outside resources to assist our callers in accessing that care.

Who can receive financial support from NOAF?

We provide funding to people in the Gulf South who seek abortion care in states where abortion is legal. We do prioritize funding callers from Louisiana and other areas where alternative funding sources are limited. We provide case management and resource referrals for anyone who calls us, whether we are able to provide them with direct funding or not.

Where does NOAF provide support?

NOAF currently has agreements with 44 clinics in 16 states and the District of Columbia. We are always willing to set up partnerships with new clinics.

The New Orleans Abortion Fund provides compassionate support to affirm the dignity of folks seeking abortion care.
